9 months for Oey!

As of yesterday, Owen is 9 months old! So whats new with Owen? A LOT!!
Stats: 50th percentile for weight (20 lbs) , 25th percentile for length (26.5 inches)
Likes: Praise Baby, books with baby faces, bouncing and playing with puppy dogs
Dislikes: Diaper changes, sitting still, getting his nose wiped and stopping at stop lights
Cute new things Owen is up to: Burping me when I burp him, doing the "Owen crawl", playing with his playgroup friends, giggling in his crib and sprouting up a pretty adorable tooth

Photos: We had a fun photo shoot with Owen last night and then as I was loading all of the pictures, I thought it would be fun to compare Owen with John and me when we were around 9 months old.

Daddy on the left, Oey on the right! Chubby cheeks and precious smiles for both!

Daddy's favorite things to do with Owen: Play guitar for him (and with him!), make him laugh and roll the basketball back and forth with each other
Daddy's favorite things about Owen: His morning smiles, his chubby thighs and his courage.

Mommy on the left, Oey on the right. Big curious blue eyes and pink button noses all around.

Mommy's favorite things to do with Owen: Cuddling and story time after lunch and dinner, making up songs and singing them to him, Building cup towers for him to crawl to and knock over
Mommy's favorite things about Owen: I can tell already that he loves life in the enthusiastic way his Daddy does! I also love that God gave him wiggles and dimples and some Tigger tails for legs.

Praises: I am thankful for SO much this month with my sweet Owen. His last couple appointments have been such good news, and we are just incredibly grateful for his good health. Also, every day I wake up thrilled that I get to stay home with Owen right now. I see it as such a privilege and a joy. It is not every day that you feel like you are where you need to be and where you want to be all at the same time, and I know that is a gift that I don't deserve. I am also thankful for Owen's growth-- Yay yay yay!! I think it is time to take the word preemie out of our vocabulary : ). We are happy, healthy, and hot...super glad for this fun Summer and looking forward to Fall!
